I don’t care what people say about my marriage –Aremu Afolayan
Yoruba movie actor, Aremu Afolayan, shocked not just a few people when he got married few weeks back. It was alleged the controversial actor got married to a much older woman.
But reacting to the allegation on the phone with Saturday Beats, the actor said he didn’t care what people said about his marriage.
“People will always say what they want to say. I am not perturbed in any way. I don’t care. If I had married a top politician’s daughter, I am sure you will not be talking to me,” he said.
Denying he married his wife because of her money, Aremu said his wife is not as rich as people claimed she is.
“My wife’s family is not rich let alone my wife. I got married to somebody I wanted to get married to and not because of her wealth. I don’t know why people say all they want to say,” he said.
Aremu said his wedding was not a secret one as he sent out invitations and people honoured him.
“I wonder how anybody would say my marriage was secret. Some people went ahead to say that my brother (Kunle) was not at the wedding but he was there. Anyway, I am not ready for them. When I am ready, I will let you know,” he said. (Punch)
Comedienne, Princess’ seven-month marriage crashes
The seven-month union between ace female humour merchant, Oluwadamilola Adekoya, popularly known as Princess, and Adeshola Jeremiah has crashed as the chubby comedienne said they split due to “irreconcilable differences”.
It was learnt that the marriage had not been a bed of roses as both parties had been having incessant fights, which necessitated family and friends intervening on several occasions.
Princess, a graduate of Theatre Arts from the University of Lagos, got married on May 8, 2013. She earlier confirmed the split to an online entertainment site, thenet.ng.
She also confirmed the story to our correspondent in a telephone interview.
Princess said, “It is true, my marriage has ended. We got married in May. We tried to work it out but we couldn’t.
“It happened a while ago. It is not easy for a marriage to end. All the excitement of marriage has passed. We wanted to keep it out of the public for a while.”
She continued “People have been calling me since. I opened up about this at an event yesterday. It wasn’t a case of domestic abuse. We just had irreconcilable differences. Nobody wants her marriage to crash. I am the one in the spotlight, I didn’t think it was a news I should broadcast. But eventually, I had to open up. God knows best, He would strengthen me. It is better to try than not to try at all.
“Now, I even use it as a joke. People who call me should also tell me they have a job for me and not to call me and cry and ask how it happened.”
The news from the stables of the humour merchant is coming barely days to the New Year.
A few days to her wedding, the happy and proud bride had written on one of her social media accounts that her hubby was coming to wipe off the shame of her life. (Punch)

Beyonce Sing and Dance With Terminally Ill Cancer Patient
Could we love Beyonce any more?
The megastar, who just released a secret album while touring and taking care of her daughter Blue Ivy, went out of her way to make the wish of a terminally ill cancer patient Taylon become a reality.
All Taylon wanted to do was dance with Beyonce, 32.
In a video posted by Bey, this Make-A-Wish girl gets to do just that.
Friends and family came with her to Las Vegas earlier this month to see Beyonce perform. As Beyonce hits the stage, the little girl is brought to tears.
The "Single Ladies" singer steps off stage to hug Taylon, give her a kiss and even let her sing a few lines from "Survivor" together.
It's really one of the most touching videos, check it out below.
Kanye West repents, promises to keep quiet
Kanye West has promised to keep his mouth shut from publicly criticizing and saying negative comments for about six mouths after realizing harshly that he may have used his mouth to chase his
fans away. This was evident in the empty seats witnessed in his recently concluded Yeezus tour.
In his latest rant during the last stop of his Yeezus Tour in Toronto on December 23, Kanye promised not to say anything negative about anyone or anything for at least six months…
Everything I’m saying that’s not allowed, soak it in right now. This might be the last time y’all hear me talk s*** for a long time. Might be another like 6 months, at least. You’re just gonna have to run back the interviews and sh*t if you wanna hear some realness!
“I’m gonna tell y’all right now that all of the ideas, what they call the rants the streams of consciousness that I express, I told y’all, save those tapes and everything because I’ve decided to completely focus everything in 2014, on new ideas and on creative outlets. I’m not [going to] ever bring up Nike again, and the only way I’ll bring them up is in a positive light … I’ll never bring up the Grammys again in a negative light, because I actually appreciate the 21 Grammys that I did win.”
“Because I’m not [trying] to be a dude that has all the opportunities in the world and only focuses on the negative, or complains about it, or just gets in some type of zone that just having to turn up all the time and sh*t. So I’m letting you all now that this is the last Yeezus show, and this is the last time you’ll ever hear me say negative about anyone..”
Lets see how far he can go,,,

Olamide, Phyno Shines, Iyanya, Davido Wins While Wizkid flops at the Headies 2013
So many people won't be surprised that the proud Wizkid didn't win any award at the Headies 2013 while the king of the street and man of the people Olamide took home 4 awards.
Olamide really surpassed all expectations by wining 4 out of the 5 nominations he was up for. Wizkid was nominated in 2 categories, namely 'Artist of the year' which Iyanya won and also 'collabo of the year' with Eme mates Banky and Skales for baddest boy which was snatched by Oladide and Phyno for Ghost Mode. Davido.
Wizkid has been having problems with the fans lately and incidences of empty seats during concerts has also been reported. It is shocking that despite his massive followership on social media, he couldn't even win 1 award. Well, we hope he changes his ways and gets close to his fans again because we miss him in the spotlight..

Jay-Z Files For Divorce From Beyonce
This coming as a big shock, even though the pair were reported to be unhappy with each other a while back.
America rapper Jay-z was quoted saying “I got n*ggas in the barbershop asking me have I heard the new Beyonce album. Picture that sht?” Said Jay-Z about when he received the news that Beyonce, his wife of five years dropped a secret album on iTunes.
Jay-Z filed for divorce early Monday morning citing that trust in his marriage to singer Beyonce Knowles-Carter was irrevocably broken after finding out she dropped a surprise album that not even he knew about. “She treated me like the fourth member of Destiny’s Child. I just don’t matter no more.”
Said Jay-Z when asked by court appointed marriage counselor Johns Hopkins how he felt about the whole situation. “She acted like my lips were sexy all these years so honestly ain’t no telling what else she lying about”.
Friends close to Beyonce believe Jay-Z was looking for anyway out of the marriage and most likely just tired of coming home to the same woman every night.

Terry G attacked and sent off stage in his home town
This is the worst nightmare of any musician and to make it really bad it was a performance in his hometown....that's just the definition of awful.
Oche Gabriel Amanyi, otherwise known as Terry G got more than he bargained for in his hometown during the weekend.
The singer, who was at the IBB Square, Makurdi in Benue State for Benue youth fiesta was attacked while performing on stage.
The Benue fiesta, which attracted hundreds of youths, including men and women, was organized by the member representing Guma/Makurdi federal constituency, Barrister Emmanuel Jime, who is known to be nursing gubernatorial ambition in 2015.
It was discovered that while the ‘son of the soil’ went on stage to perform, some youths, suspected to be hoodlums, began throwing sachet water on the musician and later broke bottles and charged towards him.
No reason was given for their action.
The security men on ground eventually brought the situation under control.
Prominent Nigerian artistes including J. Martins, I Go Dye, Ice Prince and Pastor Nicodemus Mbatsavtampu performed at the event, which was lively, before it was interrupted.

He fast became one of the most sought-after young players in Europe and in 2005 Manchester United beat a host of interested parties to his signature but Mikel had other ideas, and despite appearing at a press conference in a United shirt, the midfielder claimed he had been pressured into the move and wanted to
move to Chelsea instead.

List of Nigeria's richest musicians
Tuface: Born Innocent Idibia, the former member of the band, Plantashun Boyz, is among the richest artists in the industry. With two platinum records already behind him, Tuface (2Face) is speculated to be worth about 550 million naira ($3.47 million). He has had endorsement deals from companies such as Guinness, which earned him 20 million naira ($125,000) and Airtel, which earned him 22 million naira ($139,000). He was also rumoured to have collected 30 million naira ($189,000) from the producers of the Phat Girls movie. Tuface has invested heavily in real estate and stocks, and made big money from it.
He once said his goal was to recover all the wealth taken from Africa.
D’banj: Apart from his music interests, D’banj has moved into other sectors. His interests include Koko Mansion, a TV reality show, Koko Lounge, an upscale hangout in Lagos and the UK, Koko Foundation, a charity, and Koko Mobile. The bulk of his money comes from endorsements – his endorsement deal with Globacom telecommunications cost 70 million naira ($442,000). He has a multi-million naira endorsement with energy drink Power Fist, a deal with the makers of the Virgin Colour soft drink and another huge deal with a popular jeweler. Another endorsement which runs into millions is with Chris Aire, with D’banj acting as the face of his watches. He collects between 5 million naira ($31,500) and 7 million naira ($44,200) as performance fee for local gigs, and even bigger fees across the rest of Africa and in the US and the UK. Like his old boss, Don Jazzy, D’banj also bagged a recording deal with Kanye West’s G.O.O.D Music. D’banj once said, “I work hard so that money, awards, endorsements, bookings and kokolets chase me.”
Don Jazzy: Real name Michael Enebeli, Don Jazzy, is the founder of now defunct Mo’Hits and now runs Mavin Records. He is one of the most sought after producers in Nigeria. As a child he was a member of Good Morning Kids, a group created by his father.
He is known for his business dexterity, building Mo’Hits from scratch to become one of the biggest entertainment empires in the country. He recently signed a recording deal with Kanye West – a move that not only boosted his reputation as an entertainer, but also his wealth.
P- Square: Singing and dancing duo Peter and Paul Okoye won the KORA award for Best Africa Artiste in 2010, collecting a $1 million prize in the process. Shortly after, the duo got an endorsement deal with Globacom telecommunications worth about 240 million naira ($1.5 million) for four years. Their seven-city American tour in 2010 earned them a whopping $1m and have also built a house valued at 300 million naira ($1.9 million). They own Rayfield Hotel, Jos, and two multi-million naira factories in the same city, where they built a multimillion naira bakery and sachet water companies for their parents. The bulk of their wealth comes from concerts, especially in Africa, where they charge about 2 million naira ($12,600) per show. They have sold over 14 million copies of their CDs since 2005.
Banky W: Banky W has become one of the richest entertainers in the industry, making the bulk of his wealth from gigs, where he charges between 2.5 million naira ($15,800) and 3 million naira ($19,000) per show and performs three to four times each week. A brand ambassador of Estisalat, one of Nigeria’s telecommunications giants, he also featured in Coca Cola-Nigeria’s World Cup theme song and Microsoft’s Anti-cyber Crime Initiative. An entrepreneur, Banky W has invested heavily in various businesses and also doubles as a philanthropist, founding the Mr. Capable Foundation, where he provides tuition fees for indigent and brilliant students. He is also the force behind EME music which has, arguably, the Nigeria’s fastest rising artiste (Wizkid) under the label.
Mariah Carey: I'm not having any more kids (unless Nick Cannon can get pregnant)
Mother of two Mariah Carey says she's done having kids and if her husband Nick Cannon wants more children, he will have to get pregnant and have the babies himself.
During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live, the 44 year old singer was asked by a fan caller whether or not she and Nick were planning to have more children...
"If Nick could have the babies himself, then yeah, bring 'em on. We love kids," Mariah answered. "Here's the thing: This is real. I'm responsible for the kids for like forever. I look at it like, they didn't ask for this lifestyle but here they are."
"To anyone who has ever carried twins, it is a totally different experience...You don't even know who you are. I had a very difficult pregnancy, but I was alone most of the time. We love Nick, but he's working. He's the hardest-working man in show business."
I'm looking for the right man -Adaora Oleh
British trained TV gal and co-host of Nigeria's singing competition, MTN Project Fame Adaora Oleh says she is still single and searching and is looking unto God to help her choose the right man.
"I am still looking for him. The thing is that when he comes, God will let me recognize that he is the man. You know what I mean? Sometimes you are faced with different guys, different challenges, sometimes making up your mind is not always easy. You don't know if that person is the best man for you, but I do pray that God gives me the wisdom to recognize the good man when he comes". She tells City People magazine

Ciara is pregnant for Future
Ciara has yet to confirm or deny that she's expecting a baby with fiancé Future, but a new picture that has emerged online over the weekend indicates a growing baby bump.
Last month, the Body Party singer told E! News that having children was the next step for her. When asked if she was excited to start a family, the singer responded, "Absolutely."
"That's like next step. You have to go one step at a time, but that's what I live for," she said. "My mother and father were married for 30 years and my grandparents were married for 50 years so it's only right. I am the only child, so I want to a build family."
Though she didn't reveal if she was pregnant, a fan tweeted a recent picture of the singer at a basketball game in Atlanta wearing an oversized shirt that appeared to have covered her baby stomach.
"Aw Ciara pregnant for real," JazDntGivAFck tweeted.
When another fan responded and wrote, "Wtf she got that big in 1 month?" the fan replied, "she doesn't look big to me lol but yes that's what happens."
Back in August, Future appeared on NYC's radio station Hot 97 with Angie Martinez and gushed about Ciara.
"It feels good, and different from being with different girls every day...Rock star life style at the same time,"He said. "Months before I met her, I was going through something and living the life."
In a later interview with Jenny Boom Boom from Hartford's Hot 93.7, Future denied that Ciara was pregnant by saying, "It's a rumor."
